Welcome to
Sleepy Hollow
Bed and Breakfast...

Please come in!

The Main Entrance

The elaborate beveled glass front doors and front hall window, the grand oak-paneled staircase; the vintage tin ceilings and lead crystal chandelier give you the feeling that you have just made a grand entrance. Large amounts of light and the open rooms beyond are simply awe inspiring. Halfway up the staircase there is a rare stained glass window. Frederick J. Skinner, a prominent Gananoque manufacturer, and politician, built Sleepy Hollow and his portrait hangs in the front entrance to greet you. The history of the house over time has seen it used as a Tourist home, a nursing home, apartments, and since 1997, a B & B.

Foyer                            Landing
The foyer and main staircase with the "half landing" is one of the trademarks of the architect Frank T. Lent.
The Living Rooms
An ornate arch with ionic columns and feature tin ceilings separates the Twin Living Rooms. The rooms are warm and comfortable, professionally decorated. Each room boasts a fireplace fronted by matching mantels with antique mirrors and ionic columns. The turret area has lots to look at.
The Dining Room

The Dining room, an octagonal room gets the morning sun and the cut glass window creates rainbows on the table. It is a great place to enjoy the first morning coffee and then the breakfast that follows.

The Pool Table

This room at the top of the grand staircase is a perfect spot to relax. A full-width bow window with window seat invites you to stay awhile and watch or play a game of pool.

The House
Our home includes, central air conditioning, and a full sprinkler system connected to a local alarm.  The smoke detectors, emergency lighting system and outside fire escape also add to the list of features to make your stay comfortable and safe. On the decorative side, the stained glass window collection is diverse and add to the romanticism of the house.
Relax on the second floor deck on the South side of the house for a suntan (some days) and when you return for the night we will have the porch lights on for you.
